English Camp Preparations!

After a quick break to wash up from Hands in the Dirt, we went right to work to begin preparing for English Camp - a morning of English lessons for local children.

After a delicious lunch of cashew chicken, noodles, stir fried asparagus, and much more the girls came together to prepare for English camps the next morning. They started off by breaking up into groups of four and brainstorming some ideas. Some of their brilliant ideas included Simon says, scavenger hunts, matching games and much more. The group concluded that they would remain with the same group of approximately eight children and rotating with the games every half hour. The same group of 25 children will eat lunch with the girls at the Ricefields base so that they can enjoy a swimming lesson with the girls in the afternoon. Tonight we will be shopping at a night market and will pick up any supplies needed to run our English camps. The girls are very excited and cannot wait to teach the children important English lessons that will hopefully benefit them in their later lives.   ~ Nikoo
