Temple Tour and Orientation to Buddism

Disclaimer - This post is a bit delayed to due to jet lag.  We just couldn't stay up long enough yesterday to complete this post.

During our first few hours of being at the Ricefields Base and learning about the culture, we got to experience the religion right away. We visited the temple that is about a block away from where we are living. Right away we learned how to present ourselves when we met the monk and how to be respectful. We got to ask the monk questions and learn about Buddhism and all of the rules that come with being a monk. We also got bracelets and monk pendants that were blessed by the monk himself to protect all of us.  ~ Chloe
